AEOToolList is the independent, no-affiliation reference people read before buying an AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) or GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) tool — real hands-on reviews, honest pros and cons, and plain-English explanations of how AI answer engines actually work, written by people who understand the discipline and have nothing to sell but the truth about it.
We exist because the tooling market around AI search visibility grew fast, and most of what got written about it was either vendor marketing copy wearing a "review" headline, or a thin listicle assembled from other listicles. We wanted a place we'd actually trust ourselves before spending a team's budget on a monitoring platform — so we built one.
Hands-on before written
Every tool we cover is trialed firsthand — a real account, a real workflow — before we write a single word of verdict.
No pay-to-rank
Coverage is editorially selected. A vendor cannot buy a better review, a higher spot in a roundup, or a softer paragraph on their limitations.
Content-only, on purpose
We don't build or sell our own AEO/GEO software. We have nothing to gain by steering you toward one tool over another.

How we make money

Who's behind this
AEOToolList is written and maintained by a small independent team focused specifically on AI search and AEO/GEO tooling. We're still growing into publishing named, credentialed bylines on every individual review — as that rolls out, you'll find each author's background linked from this page. In the meantime, our editorial guidelines spell out exactly how every piece of coverage gets researched, tested, and scored, regardless of who wrote it.
